Temporary Crowns

Temporary crowns are interim restorations.

  • Diagnostic tool
  • Protect teeth
  • Stabilise tooth position
  • Allow soft tissue remodelling, especially with implants

  • The length of time temporary restorations are worn varies from a few days to several weeks or months.
  • Full mouth reconstruction cases often employ long-term provisionals for aesthetic and functional evaluation.
  • Provisionals enable the patient to assess the final result of a smile design or definitive reconstruction. The patient can make an informed decision regarding the contour, size, function and colour of the proposed restoration.
  • For larger cases, excellent well-fitting temporaries enable the patient to trial the phonetics of the final prosthesis.
